Measure Master Pro – A Calculator for Carpenters

Not too exciting if you don’t do a lot of measurements. Especially not exciting if you don’t use the imperial measuring system. However, I do, and I am excited to present Calculated Industries’ Measure Master Pro, a calculator that works and converts in feet-inch-fractions, decimal inches, fractions, yards, meters, centimeters, and millimeters as well as areas and volumes. Pretty handy tool I’d say, especially if you’re on the job and don’t have the time to do conversions.

On a side note, my girlfriend who is a fashion technical designer and a seamstress just happened to walk by while I was writing this and said, “Oh! I could really use that!”. So while this calculator was designed for the carpenter and architect crowd, I can see that it can be very appealing to others as well. Available for $28.10 at Amazon.

Fulfill your dream of becoming a nerdful mix master with the Sony Xross Fade
($500; Sept.). This sleek DJ-style shelf system has dual iPod docks, CD
player, and an AM/FM tuner, letting you mix music from each of these
sources. The Xross Fade offers a party-worthy 450 watts of total power
output, pumping your tunes through a pair of two-way bass reflex
speakers and a dual 7-inch subwoofer enclosure. Aspiring DJs will
appreciate the simplified cross-fader with monitor cue and a built-in
two-channel mixer. Plus, a USB recording feature saves mixing sessions
to a USB device in MP3 format, while another function easily converts
CDs and AM/FM radio to MP3s.

++++++++

Now two iPods at once can be stolen at parties.
